Precautions before the operation


  • Please avoid taking drugs containing acid acetylsalicylic acid (ASS 100, Aspirin ®) five days before surgery.
  • Shave the penis and scrotum area before the operation.
  • Please take a shower in the morning as to minimize the risk of infection.

Precautions after the operation

  • Spend a quiet evening at home, the ideal would be not too walk, bed rest is preferable.
  • The painful sensations can be treated, if necessary, with ibuprofen or placing ice packs over the wound (usually covered with a dressing) for 15 to 20 minutes every one hour, for the next 12 hours. Acetylsalicylic acid (Aspirin) will be avoided for 4 days.
  • The day after the operation you can take a shower and do light physical work. Sport will be avoided for a week.
  • Use the scrotal support for 3-4 days.
  • Sexual activity will be avoided for 3 days.
  • At the 8th and 16th week, you must ask for a semen analisys to check if yet sperm. Contraceptive measures are interrupted only when both tests are negative.
