Dr. Neil Pollock is a surgeon in Vancouver who, after 10 years in family practice, decided to focus his practice on and invest significant efforts in researching and performing the No-Scalpel Vasectomy (NSV) Technique.

Dr. Neil Pollock ended the need for a scalpel with new medical advances more than two years ago and now he is among the first in North America to no longer require a needle for the procedure.

After studying with many of the pioneers of NSV throughout North America, Dr. Pollock developed his own No-Scalpel Vasectomy technique incorporating what he observed to be the most effective elements of their varying styles. He introduced the combination technique of "No- Scalpel No-Needle No-Metal clips Vasectomy" in Canada. He is highly experienced in the NSV technique, receiving close to 2000 referrals per year, at his two offices located in the Vancouver's Lower Mainland. No-Needle Anesthesia (NNA), a new advance in the vasectomy procedure is now available at Pollock Clinics. This new technique eliminates the final remaining barrier for men concerned about the surgery: the needle that applies the anesthetic.

Dr. Neil Pollock began using the new technique -- "No Needle Anesthesia" is accomplished by applying a pressurized jet spray to numb the area through a pen-like device -- last week. It is so new less than four other physicians have begun using it.

How much does No-Scalpel Vasectomy costs?
British Colombia Medical fully covers the vasectomy and the tray fee. This includes all disposable supplies required to perform the procedure.
